Attention drivers and customers traveling northbound through Saginaw, MI — the Zilwaukee Bridge is now officially closed for major repair work. But rest assured: Team Wieland Truck & Trailer is open and ready to serve you, and we’ve mapped out the best detour routes to help you get to us with ease.

Why Is the Bridge Closed?

According to MDOT, the northbound lanes of the Zilwaukee Bridge are closed as part of a scheduled repair project that includes bridge joint replacements and asphalt resurfacing. The closure began in early August and is expected to last until late September (weather permitting).

How to Get to Us During the Closure

If you’re coming to Team Wieland Truck & Trailer from areas south of Saginaw, you’ll need to take an alternate route while the bridge is closed.

Here are the recommended northbound detour options:

Detour Route via I-675:

  • Take I-75 North toward Saginaw

  • Exit at I-675 North (Exit 150)

  • Follow I-675 North through downtown Saginaw

  • Merge back onto I-75 North after the Zilwaukee Bridge

  • Take your normal exit to reach Team Wieland Truck & Trailer

Local Traffic Routes:

For more local access (especially for commercial vehicles or trucks avoiding city traffic), use:

  • M-46 (Holland Ave) or M-81 (Washington Ave) to navigate through Saginaw and reconnect with I-75 north of the bridge.
