2022 Caterpillar Marine Generators M 43 C

Information

2022 Caterpillar Marine Generators M 43 C

As a generator drive unit for diesel-electric operation of electric motors, the M 43 has proved itself in service. The compact modular construction with less pipework, easy maintenance access to components, low fuel and lubricating oil consumption as well as extended life between main component overhauls – these have been the decisive factors for the high acceptance rate of the M 43 C. Since its introduction into the market, the MaK engine series M 43 C has achieved an outstanding position between marine applications as an in-line engine in 6, 7, 8 and 9 cylinder versions. More than 650 engines with a total power of more than 6,500 MW have already been sold, making the M 43 C the market leader in the 5–9 MW power class.
